London Food Link Soriee

Slow Food Norwich with its close links to Slow Food London attended the London Food Link Soiree in Camden Town, London on Wednesday night 27th July, the event was held at the world famous Cecil Sharp house near Regents park.
Meeting at 6.30 in the basement we all then went through to the packed hall were a series of speakers from various charities, food businesse and voluntary organisations spoke about their work and current projects.

Speakers included Georgie Knight from the London Food Link, Mikey Tomkins from Capital Bee, Stephanie Wood from School Food Matters, laura Billings from Magic breakfast and Colin MacIntyre of the charity Mary's Meals, which feeds over 500,000 children each day in 12 countries throughout the world.
The meeting and talks closed at 8pm, we all then networked for another couple of hours and had some delicious food produced by the Nice Green Cafe.
It was an inspirational evening and many new contacts and friends were made, we at Slow food Norwich will certainly been attending the next London Food Link event which is to be held in October or November 2011 at the same great venue in north London.
